Every day thousands of adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized each day in shelters and rescues across the United States, which turns into millions each year. These pets do not deserve to be treated as disposable, they are not. Because of breeding there are too many pets without enough homes, many die.
Adopting from a shelter or rescue is a great alternative. These pets are usually fully vetted and microchipped, so no chance of being bred. Adopting one of these pets open up a space for another to enter the rescue or shelter.
For those wanting breed specific pets, there are hundreds of breed specific rescues also, so don’t think you have to adopt from a breeder. Adopting is also priced much more reasonable and the medical is already done.
Do your part in helping to stop over population and over breeding. Adopt, don’t shop.
